I just recently upgraded from an android to an iPhone 6s. I pay extra on my plan for the visual voicemail, but I can't figure it out. I can listen to my vm from my phone, but need help setting up the visual vm

The feature you were paying for should have automatically dropped when your iPhone was activated because it's not compatible.
Do you mean how visual voicemail programs can convert the audio into a readable text? There is nothing currently built into the iPhone that does that, but I've read Apple is developing a Siri function to do that. There may be (free or paid) apps in the store you can try that could do that in the meantime tho.
