Voicemail Issues

My voicemail say "welcome to the message management system please enter your mailbox number." I don't know when this started or why but how can I go back to my original voicemail? I just played my greeting and it's still my voicemail message that I've had setup for years. Any help???

How do you access your Voicemail? Do you use an application or do you call *86 to access your Voicemail?

the last time remember checking my vm was approximately 3 months ago. I use the number 1 to check my voicemail.
