Any app that requires a data connection.  Any app that requires information not already on your phone.  Facebook, Safari, streaming music and video, weather apps, etc....

Try this experiment, try to turn off your mobile data and wifi, then open an app, if you can't access its full features or it crashes chances are it needs data
