I'd like to know why I can't send pictures via text messaging? I know I used to be able to. Just got the iphone 6plus which takes great pics, but I can't share them with anyone via text message. What changed and why should I be required to use VZ Messaging? Had I known this I would have changed to another provider other than Verizon.

I get the message failed to send. I know I've sent pictures by text before. I have followed every direction I can find on the web for how to do it. I had a take a picture and try to send it, I picked something from my photo library, and nothing wants to send except to another iPhone user. That should not be. My husband has an android phone and he is having the same issues.
I have come to the point that I just signed up for a training session with my local store. I'm going to get to the bottom of this if it's the last thing I do.
Any tips you can give would be great. I appreciate the reply so quickly.

We'll work together to ensure that you can send pictures! If you are connected to WiFi, try turning it off and attempting the picture again. Are you trying to send pictures via iMessage, or regular messaging?

I have tried turning off wi-if but I just tried again. No luck. Message failed to send is the error. I used and messaging. I have tried iMessage but that only works if I send to another iPhone user not to an Android user. I have turned off iMessage and tried. Again no such luck. It seems something changed with our account to prevent it. I can send with VZ Messenger but I shouldn't have to use that. It's clunky and not very intuitive.
I am going to a training session at my Verizon Store. Maybe I can get this problem solved there? I'm not a newbie user by any stretch of the imagination so this is very frustrating. I truly hope it's not a Verizon limitation all of a sudden.

It's not a Verizon limitation as I don't have any trouble sending pictures with my iPhone 6+. Have you tried the usual? Restarting the phone (either bu powering off and back on or by holding both the Home key and Power/lock key at the same time until it reboots)? Resetting if you've tried everything else possible? Sorry if you've done these things....

Yes
And yes. Tried all that before I posted the question. And by the way I can't send pics with VZ Messenger either.

I would wonder if it's a device issue if your husband phone wasn't doing the same thing. I imagine there may be some sort of outage in your area that may be affecting texts. iMessages wouldn't be affected since they use a different system. I was going to suggest going to your nearest Apple Store if one was available but that wouldn't address your husbands issue. And I'm sorry but I can't recall if you said you had contacted VZW for tech support so at the very least they could open a trouble ticket to see if the issue is network related.

There is (or was) a problem with texting in the N. Ohio area earlier. If you live in that area, that may the problem and not your device.
