Same phones, same spot. My husband will get LTE service and I get 3G. My phone is up to date and he's not as great about keeping his up. Why??

both are the iPhone 5c?? and you state yours has the latest updates and his does not, correct.. ??
make sure both are fully charged battery wise.. shut both off for a few seconds and turn them back on.. see if you are still pulling at the 3G and his at the LTE... if so the last update may be the reason why.. I know my phone can go from 3G all the way down to a standard basically nothing and bounce back and forth while in the same location and I am about 1 block from the tower.. it is hard to say ..but hoping the shutting down resets it

Yes they are both iPhone 5c. Mine does have the newest update and his does not, but it was happening before that. I tried restarting and that doesn't seem to fix it either. So irritating!
