Why does my phone hang up every 4 hours

My sons iphone12pro hangs up after 4 hours when talking to his girlfriend.   Is there something with verizon plan that makes it do this?   It didn't start until this past 6 months it seems.   Was there an update that could have caused this?

Hello Rswill,

 

I depend on my phone every day and would be concerned too if anything were to happened to it. How many times has this happened? Was it exactly at 4 hours of talking? Did it show any type of error message or notification?
