That isnt a line. Do you have insurance on a phone? That is an insurance fee. Line fees are round numbers. The fee would be attached to a line, whereas a line would have a phone number attached .

All depends on the plan you have/had with them at the time, it doesn't sound unreasonable, typically there is a cost for the calling plan you have and an additional fee for each device associated with that plan. Surprised that after 3-1/2 years you all of a sudden noticed there was a difference in your bill?

OOh, you just jogged my thoughts...
some me of the subscription services are 9.99 a month. Is there a list of what might cost $9.99? Like Family Base, music or TV service?

That's about the time frame when VzW changed its billing for the Nationwide plans and did away with primary lines (it's called Account Level Pricing). The prices didn't change, just the way they were reported on the bill. For example, the 700-minute Family plan up to that point was $59.99 for the primary line, and each additional line was $9.99. Then the billing changed; now on the statements, it is listed as a monthly account charge of $50 and each line (including what used to be the primary line) is charged separately at $9.99. Could that be what you're referring to?

HMmmmm, so if they still have an old plan with a basic phone, it would be $9.99. That also makes sense, it would have a phone number attached, and it should be a familiar one if it goes back to 2011.
tikibar1, you have a great memory for history!

I just changed my parents plan a week ago from a 700 min plan with $0.20 per text and 2gb of data on which my mom's basic phone was $9.99.

All lines on Nationwide plans are $9.99, regardless of whether they are basic phones or smartphones.

Like I said, great memory... My last memory was of the Family share plan. I was the last hold out with a $9.99 phone line, which was $14 and change with taxes.
