Maybe not on Verizon, since Verizon is a CDMA carrier. If you had a GSM carrier like AT&T or T-Mobile and their respective MVNOs (aka, affiliates), it would be a matter of just slipping in the SIM cards anytime.

LTE devices use sim cards. The thing that matters is sizes, and that would affect GSM carriers as well.
