Do you have signal in your area?
Make sure you have cellular data turned on in settings-cellular
Take out the SIM card, rub it with microfiber cloth and put it back in.
If that doesn't work, may need to go to Verizon corporate store to exchange SIM if you don't see Verizon in the status area.
