I just got my iPhone 6s Plus yesterday and I have wifi on it but when I leave my house, I can't use safari or even text anyone. How can I use internet service without wifi? It didn't do this with my other iPhone

Did you activate cellular service?  If your over iPhone was iPhone 5 or above, take out the SIM and replace the one in the 6S.  That should get you up and activated the easiest.
