I need to know why 90% of the Time I am connected to wifi but there is still data usage going on. I have turned everything off that I can think of to stop this.  The only thing that even comes close to stopping this is to turn off cellular data but when i do this I can no longer send or receive texts or phone calls . I haven't had phone for 2 weeks yet and I've already reached 85% of my 1. Gig of data. There's no way I should even be close to this. I switched from att and only had 500 mb a month and didn't go over because I'm always on wifi. What's up with the data usage this is making me rethink staying with Verizon and going back to att

Make sure Wi-Fi assist is off under the Cellular options. iPhones have a built in data meter that shows usage per app. I would check that list and anything in system services. Hope this helps. May the Force be with you.

Thanks but I've had wifi assist off since day I got phone, I don't get why if I'm using wifi why is my data being used, they told me since I use my wifi all the time I wouldn't go over my data limit which I'm not far from doing and I've only had the phone since the 13 the of july

When you go into Settings>Cellular, what are the applications that show usage over 100MB? These are the things I would be focus on. Hope this helps. May the Force be with you.

I know how frustrating that can be. Is there anyway that you are leaving applications open or running in the background when you are not connected to Wi-Fi?
