$200 rebate scam/military discount scam

i was scammed twice. went into the local verizon store (del mar ca.) and purchased 2 for 1 iphone XR's. ported in  a new number from AT&T for my girlfried. the people at the store told us we would get a $200 rebate because we added a new phone and also get a 15% military discount for my 6 years of service in the army. never have received either! i've called the rebate number 3 times and chatted once. they keep saying they'll take care it, but nothing ever happens. i think they just stall and figure eventually you'll just give up. i went back to the store to complain, but they claim that's not their department. the military discount was a different issue. when i called about that they told me i was already on a discount plan and wasn't eligible for the military one. FLAT OUT LIES!

beware of promises from the verizon stores. i'll probably switch to another carrier at some point

maybe i can get the sprint or AT&T rebate/gift card for switching

yes i replied within a week  - and then again and again. i answered the same questions over and over

when was the device activated? was it a new number/phone ported in? YES!

very frustrating to waste 3 phone calls (i was on hold at least 20 minutes on each)

plus one chat session that took 30minutes and was told the rebate would be coming

now you need more of the same info

What's the name of your plan? The loyalty thing is actually true since those are already discounted plans customers don't have main access to.

Anything with a gift card requires redemption within a time frame.

Still fighting for the rebate cards from BlackFriday and still no military discount. They are stalling on paying out the money. Switched 4 lines from Sprint, big regret

This doesn't truly address the issue. This is a complete scam, and Verizon is not what it used to be. Been with you service a little over a month now and all of my rebates that were promised have been denied. Going back to Sprint and/or AT&T asap!
