I just recently received my 4G LTE network extender from Verizon and the only way that I can connect my iPhone 8 plus to it once I leave and come home is to completely power the phone down and start back up. I also found that I can put it in airplane mode and turn it back on and it connects. Once it is connected as long as I stay in range it stays connected. I spent several hours on the phone to customer service, and they couldn't figure it out. I have tried factory resets on the extender and a reset on my iPhone. Finally, the last woman that I talked to just told me that my phone was old, and it must be something in the phone. I know that my 8plus isn't new, but it certainly isn't old. They just gave up. Doe's anyone know what would cause it to not automatically connect when it is within range?

Bullmule, I'm sorry you're having issues with the phone automatically connecting to the Network Extender. You mentioned that you just got it. Did it ever connect automatically?
Has there been any damage to the phone. It really is an older model phone, considering we have the iPhone 14 now.
Are other phones able to automatically connect to the extender?

I have had the extender for a week. My iPhone hasn't connected to automatically since I have had it. Even after resetting my phone it won't auto connect. There are no lights on the extender to show when you are connected, other than the LCD screen if you push the side button so I call #48 to see if I am connected. I don't know if other phones will connect to it because I only have my iPhone. I sure wouldn't think that I would have to get a new phone to automatically connect to it. I am a disabled vet, and I can't afford a new phone. I need the extender to boost my signal. I have also done factory resets on the extender.

I completely understand. Thank you for these details. Also, thank you so much for your service to our country. We appreciate you more than you know!
Do you happen to have WiFi at home? Honestly, that may work better than the extender, if you have it. I sent a Private Note, to try to better assist you.

Hey Bullmule,
Did you ever get this fixed?
Just FYI, I have found that cycling through airplane mode with re-establish the connection, but that is an annoying kludge.
Thanks.

Hello, LarryBenLev. Help is here. I do want to ensure I understand exactly the issue as I see your response is connected to an older thread for the 4G Network Extender. Are you having issues with connecting your device? Please clarify.
