Apple Music not working on new phone

I traded in my Galaxy 21 for a 24+ last week. I have been on the phone with Apple and tech support for the past 3 days. The store said they cannot help me and Apple said my account is fine on their end. When I attempt to log in it says "This account is using another ID".
My husband told me that when I bought my new phone the Verizon employee took the SIM card from my old phone and put it in my new phone. Could this be part of the issue?
Tech support has pretty much said there's nothing else they can do, but somehow this doesn't make sense to me. It was fine for over 2 years on my old phone.
