Blacklisted IMEI

Hey,
I recently purchased my iPhone 14 pro from a local on Facebook marketplace. Prior to purchasing, the phone wasn’t locked nor blacklisted and everything was perfectly fine. That was  until I tried to switch my networking services from the older device to the newer iPhone 14 pro.   So I contacted my carrier and apple and I got to know that the seller reported it stolen or lost  and did some sort of fraud linked to Verizon and made it blacklisted. This leaves me  stuck with a brick device essentially and upon researching, it was said that only Verizon can help me with with this. I can provide payment and chat proof that shows that I purchased the phone from that person. Please please please help me as I have no other options and I am just a high school student with no other alternatives.
Kind Regards,
Mo

We're sorry to learn that the iPhone 14 Pro you had purchased online had come back on a blacklist. While it is true that the carrier is the right place to seek help with this, we can only assist the original owner resolve whatever issue caused the phone to get blacklisted on their account. This means that you'll have to work back with the seller for a solution; either a refund, or to have them contact us to resolve whatever issue is causing the phone to be on that list. We do apologize for the inconvenience.
