Block *67 Calls

In the past, when I dialed *67 followed by a number, the call would go through anonymously and sometimes trigger an automated message saying, “Sorry, this number has been changed or disconnected,” even though I knew the number was still active. I’m now using an iPhone 16, and I want to replicate this from the other side: If someone tries to call me using *67 (appearing as “No Caller ID”), I want their call to be met with a message that says my number has been changed or disconnected.
How can I set up my iPhone to do this? Is there a specific setting, third-party app, or carrier feature that would allow me to block calls with “No Caller ID” and have them receive that kind of disconnected message?

There are a few options you have when it comes to blocking unwanted calls. Here is a link with some settings through the phone itself.

In addition, we have the Verizon Call Filter app that can block unwanted calls too! Take a look this link for details on that.

Will these features specifically say that my number has been changed or disconnected?

Great question Ann50! When calling a number not in service, an automated message will play such as "The number you have dialed has been changed, disconnected, or is no longer in service"."

Your best bet is probably to use a 3rd party app that allows you to block anonymous callers. Some are free, others require a subscription. There's an iPhone feature which lets you silence anonymous calls, but then they get directed to voicemail, so some spammers will then end up on your voicemail instead.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
