You make a great point thomasr1950. Check out "Avoid unwanted calls with Verizon Call Filter FAQs --> Which devices aren't compatible with the Call Filter app but can use Call Filter through My Verizon? (https://www.verizon.com/support/call-filter-faqs/)
- Android smartphones made 2017 or earlier aren't compatible with the Call Filter app. However, you can use Call Filter in My Verizon.
Let us know if you have additional Verizon questions we can address for you.

I have the same problem. The call filter app doesn't work on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. This is madness.

The Verizon agents have posted before that they cannot view images on the forums, which surprises me as they otherwise have some extra rights such as being able to post phone numbers for assorted Verizon departments which regular forum members cannot do.
Are the Samsung S23 phones in question factory unlocked, or a different carrier's version (not a Verizon phone) which is unlocked? Pretty sure the Call Filter is a Verizon-specific app which only works on Verizon carrier phones.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
