I have an iphone 6s. Wifi calling is enabled on my phone. When I am at work, I see "VZW Wi-Fi" in the status bar. However, when I am at home I do not see "VZW Wi-Fi" in the status bar even though I am connected to my home network so I assume my phone is not calling over wifi.
Does anyone know why this might be? Are there minimum network requirements before Verizon will allow wifi calling? I could not find any documentation on this specific topic.
Thanks in advance.

The phone will only switch to wifi calling when the Verizon signal is weak. In addition, the firewall must have certain pots open (usually not a problem on home networks and more of a problem on work networks).
