My Apple Watch is receiving calls to the number assigned to that line if dialed direct. When I get a call to my iPhone number, it rings on the Watch at the same time. When I call from the Apple Watch, it shows as coming from my iPhone number. However, when I look at my account in My Verizon, I see the place holder number for the watch line... if you call that number, it rings to the Apple Watch only.
Is it possible to have calls that are placed to that number blocked? The numbershare FAQs indicate that the Apple Watch is supposed to work only with the main line it is paired to.

YUANITH029, making sure I have all the details of how the Apple watch works are very important. I rely on my device daily, so making sure it functions as expected is vital. The great news is you can block calls from coming to the Apple watch line. I have supplied a link to the steps on how to block calls. This would be located under the free Verizon safeguards and controls. https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/verizon-safeguards-and-controls/

Over the last two weeks, I am seeing this same situation -- receiving what appear to be spam calls directly to number assigned to Apple Watch through Verizon, not from my cell number. Is there a way to hide Apple Watch number or otherwise block from spammers? This appears to be a growing problem.

That's strange. I was told that the number assigned to the watch isn't actually a functioning number, although I never tried to call it. I have had mine for only two months and haven't experienced that yet. The problem is most spam/scam callers I believe just go through a block of numbers in order so any attempt to hide it wouldn't work. But that's just my idea.

Same problem here two years later has nothing to do with spam Perse but the line is a recycled number and I’m getting calls for the previous owner of the number my watch line is on now. I was told same supposed to be blocked dummy number for the line and a ticket was submitted. It does share my main number to the watch, however it’s like having two phone lines it’s ridiculous that calls can come in on that number to watch independently seperate, I had 21 today total! Even the customer service rep could call the dummy number 🤷🏻♀️

Mandy00, receiving unwanted calls on your phone is frustrating, but when you receive them on your Apple Watch, that has to be double frustrating. We're very sorry that this has been happening. You can always change the phone number to your watch for free right from your My Verizon account. This may be something to consider. To do this, please follow the steps by clicking here https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/change-mobile-number-faqs/#change Please refer to the "How to change your mobile phone number" section on that page.
