That's great. I don't care. VZW isn't AT&T. I don't even like iPhones or Apple products, they are too restrictive for me, I love my Android. It will get activated when the servers are not being destroyed. Thank you

Okay, here is the solution that worked for mine and my wife's new iPhone 7. Idk if Verizon or Apple would like this, but it worked for both of us. We just switched out the SIM cards from our old iPhones (5S & 6), I realize this is not a solution for Android crossovers or old iPhone users that do not have the Nano SIM, but worth a shot.
It is important to note that it took much longer (15-30 minutes) for the complete activation (recognition of the iPhone 7 on My Verizon's website) with the 5S to 7 verses the 6 to the 7. I am not sure if this was a coincidence or not. We are keeping our old SIM cards just in case!
Good luck everyone!

Yeah...don't you think that all of us who tried to activate our new phones tried those other methods?

So, you like taking the risk of an Android burning your house down if the battery exploded? Or having your phone bricked because one of the many apps had a virus attached? Good luck with that.

I work all weekend, so hopefully my husband can get it worked out while I'm gone. Please let me know if they figure yours out as well!

When I ordered my phone through Verizon phone sales dept they said I should expect to receive the phone on sept 23rd. They said I might receive it early but I need to wait til the 23rd to activate it. they said as hard as it may be not to try to activate it before the 23rd it just won't work. I already received it and I will just wait. What's the big deal waiting a week? My 6 works fine so I will suffer with it for another week!!

I have solved the issue- ended up being an old zip code from a house my wife lived in 10 years ago before she even had Verizon. Very odd... but I heard others have had the same issue. I would recommend putting in any zip code including employers, homes etc. you have ever been associated with.
I hope this helps!

I'm sorry, but that is just not true. Your phone can be activated as soon as you receive it. Sometimes CS makes stuff as they go along because they don't know what the issue is.
