iPhone 14 Pro often won't recognize hotspot or other wi-fi and when it does, it fails to connect.

We always want to make sure that you're able to use every feature on your device, techdumpster. I know I rely on my Wi-Fi connection every single day, and definitely understand how important this is. Please tell us, when did this first start happening? What happens when you try to connect to Mobile Hotspot or other Wi-Fi networks? Do you receive a specific error message?

Thanks Izzy,

I rarely try to access wi-fi and hotspots other than my own.  Recently I started traveling and began livestreaming athletic events directly from my iPhone through Facebook Live.  Occasionally this requires access to Wi-fi or the Hotspot.  I added a GoPro Hero 11 to the arsenal because of its ability to provide more streaming options, including Gamechanger and Twitch, etc.  The necessary apps were installed on my iPhone 14 Pro and the GoPro was paired to the mobile device.  Video from the GoPro to my phone worked flawlessly.  However, when setting up to stream with Wi-fi or Hotspot, a couple of different issues occur.
1) Wi-fi connects and the stream will run for about 10 seconds and disconnect.
2) Phone rarely recognizes the Hotspot as a connection option.  Toggling wi-fi on and off sometimes allows the Hotspot to be recognized, however when it is finally recognized, it simply spins trying to connect until a message says it cannot find the connection. The option is to "Cancel" or "Try Again". "Cancel" allows me to reset the connectivity options and "Try Again" does just that, tries again.  In both cases, the end result is the same as I cannot rid myself of the endless loop.

I have reset and re-paired all the devices.  I have deleted and reinstalled the corresponding apps.  Nothing has worked.  I must be missing something simple and I hope you can provide me some assistance or head me in the right direction. All this spinning is keeping me dizzy.

Thanks again for anything you can recommend.

Thanks for keeping us posted. Let's backtrack a little to avoid getting lost in the story. The Hotspot/Wi-Fi connection issues only happens with your home network? Have you tried connecting to other Wi-Fi networks (if yes, do you get the same problem)? When connected to the cellular network, does everything work fine?

Hi Gilbert,

Thanks for your response and questions for clarification.  These Wi-fi/Hotspot connection issues tend to occur regardless of the home or other wi-fi  networks  and connection to the cellular network fares no better.
