Can vrzpix emails be deactivated or deleted?

For the past few months I’ve been getting spam email text messages. All random spam but sent to a bulk 20 phone numbers similar to mine. I’ve blocked the senders contact but it’s always different. I don’t want my phone number attached to a Verizon email. How can I delete this email so I stop this spam permanently.

You can add a free block setting which will block all text messages sent from the web or email addresses. Read the link below for more information.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Hello, Eterriquez. We completely understand how frustrating it can be to receive unwanted text messages. I have received my fair share as well. We do recommend forwarding any Spam Text messages that you received to our Spam Text Message investigation short code which is 7726 so that we can put an end to these text messages. To further clarify, can you please describe what is occurring that provides a conclusion that these text messages are attached to a Verizon email? BrettA_VZW

I have started forwarding to spam today. I also went into the Blocks page and blocked receiving text messages from email addresses yesterday but still got one today so I'm not sure if this needs time to kick in or if that wasn't the solution I hoped for.

The issue I'm having is I'm receiving text messages pretty frequently sometimes multiples in a day from random emails. They are all spam messages 100%. Each message is sent to a group of 20 people. All have similar numbers to mine where the area code and first three digits are the same and only the last 4 differ. All the numbers except the sender have "@vzwpix.com" after the number.

I don't want anyone to be able to contact me by this phone number generated email, I have my own email that friends and family have access to already. I don't see any way to opt out of using my phone number as an email address to this vzwpix either. I'm trying to find a way to essentially block anything going to my [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] as I don't wish to receive messages that way.

Eterriquez, thank you so much for those details. I'm glad that you've taken the proper steps to put a stop to these unwanted text messages. We would suggest continuing to forward these messages to our Spam Team. The more examples they receive the better we can get to the bottom of where these messages are coming from. KevinR_VZW

Thanks, I did this yesterday but received a new text today. I'm not sure if the messages are getting around the block or it requires a specific time period to take effect.

Can you confirm if the text came from the same number that was reported? BrittanyC_VZW

The text aren't being sent by a phone number they are being sent by an email address to a cellphone number generated email address delivered by text. I reported the email address but can't be positive that it is valid and not a spoof email address.

Thanks for that information. Are you still forwarding these messages to our Spam Team? Have the addresses you forwarded onto them been blocked? CourtneyM_VZW

I do think the Blocks have finally kicked in as I haven't received anymore messages since that day. I think I've given it enough days to be sure. While I was hoping to find a way to completely remove the phone number generated email this seems to be a decent work around.

I stand corrected. I just received another message and have forwarded it to text spam along with the email attached. I don't know if this is helping as the message asks for the number that sent it and I only have emails.

You can still provide the email address that sent the spam text to Verizon Wireless in the spam report.

I have done that twice but after I send the email info it sends the same message asking for a phone number. I'm not sure if it only accepts message details in phone number form or if it thinks it's spam message details.

same problem called it in reported several time so ill just recommend what needs to happen

1st either give the user a feature to turn off or deactivate the email to text account service such as [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] EX:[email address removed per the Verizon T... or [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] EX:[email address removed per the Verizon T...

2nd your current service does not work i just blocked my gmail or email in verizon account under blocks and the email still went through just fine

only explanation is that Verizon AI filters is not active or coding is not sufficient either it is placed after it sends which beats the purpose

shuajomin, I'm concerned to hear that the email block you had placed did not work to prevent text by emails to your device. I'd like to help resolve this. Please reply to our Direct Message, so we can gather the details needed to assist.

Thanks,

It did not work for me either.  I placed the block from email last night and still got three or four overnight.   The spam comes from an email address either gmail or hotmail and goes to 20 recipients ... phone[email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] or [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service]    The message is usually a link to some site.  I never click on it.  I do report the message and sender to 7726.   I did not get this on ATT.  Recently switched to Verizon on 12/1 and have been getting these text messages hourly for the the past few days.  I have enabled the "block from email" and "block from domain" last night, yet I got a spam group text overnight.     This is very annoying.

We understand the importance of being able to avoid unwanted messages, ldmeyer. We do want to help in any way we can. Are you able to try blocking the individual address from the messages?
