Connecting iPhone wifi to Lenovo laptop

Need help with wifi connection from iPhone 7 to Lenovo laptop. Laptop recognizes phone but cannot connect. Troubleshooting signal within Windows doesn't solve the problem. The same phone signal works when the phone is tethered with a USB cable. Any thoughts on getting it to work? Thanks.

I definitely understand wanting to make sure your hotspot works right. Help has arrived. Is it the same with other laptops? What operating system do you have? Do you receive a specific error?
