  • I don’t know what the agents with the mobile department are thinking. I have been told many times that I would get the phone free since I was switching over from a different provider. But, every time I try and go through the process I catch them saying some thing that were different than the other agents. If you are offering me free phones I don’t understand why you need to run my credit and see if I qualify for financing? The phone is offered for free? Now I just went through the process and at the end I caught the agent trying to charge me shipping for a phone that I am bringing over? Then trying to say the taxes are due? If something is free how can you calculate taxes? This has been the worst experience ever!! I’m just gonna stay with the current provider I think!

Customer Service Rep

Hello, Rudyjnmd01. Help is here as you definitely deserve some answers and a resolution. When you begin service with us, regardless of the cost of the phone, you must always pay taxes and surcharges. Also, for billing purposes, you are charged for the phone but in the event you have a promotion, you will see a credit each month for the Device Payment plan. For example, if the phone has a monthly Device Payment cost of $22.22, you will see this charge on your billing, but then you will see a credit for -$22.22 per month, canceling out the monthly cost. Regardless of the cost of the phone, you must still pay for the actual service (calls, text messages, and data) and because of this, a credit check is required as there are times when some customers may need to put down a deposit based on their credit rating. I do hope this helps.
