Have been having this issue for a while now and just saw a bunch of similar threads. If my phone doesn't have 5G - Ultra Wideband I get absolutely no data connectivity. It may say 5G or LTE but nothing will load unless it has that 5G-UW in the top right corner. Felt like I had far better coverage when we were on 4G and ever since the 5G switch it has been a challenge to find the sporadic locations that offer ultra-wideband.
Not a technical expert but I've been in and live in areas that show either 4G LTE or 5G on the Verizon Coverage Map but get absolutely no data connectivity.
Phone is updated to the latest and I have tried restarting, etc. to resolve issues.
I don't think its a hardware/phone problem but a service provider problem.

Issue has been happening ever since i switched over to the 5G phone.
Data does not work at all unless I am connected to 5G-UW.
If my phone just shows 5G or LTE there is no data connectivity. ( Apps won't load, internet won't search/refresh)
Would rather it show no data at all than act like I have some kind of connectivity.
Per the Verizon Website:
Verizon offers two types of 5G service: 5G Ultra Wideband and 5G.

Since I don't get any kind of connectivity with 5G or LTE I find this to be false and am only able to rely on the 5G-UW network which appears to be fairly spotty.

I have an iPhone14 Pro. Ever since I got this phone I have had the WORST service. I don't even know what to do. I've spoken to the top tech folks, they've sent people out to the area, and no one in my office that has VZW has service. We all have to go out to a parking lot to send a text. I'm looking at my phone now with full 5G service, but it is basically a brick unless it has 5G-UW. Every other carrier has no issues. Things were iffy at best with my iPhone12 but now I can't even do the basics like make a phone call, text, or check the weather. It is INSANE. Help!

I’m currently having the opposite problem I get no signal and nothing loads when 5g uw shows. I had to change phone to only use lte
