i would like to know if i can transfer my number from iphone 14 which is currently on myplan to iphone 16 pro max which i bought from apple store, if i move my number will i need to pay off my old device - iphone 14.
Hello ArvindDev, congratulation for your new iPhone 16 Pro Max! You should be able to activate it as long as it is an unlocked device and compatible with our network. This will not accelerate the pay off for your iPhone 14 and you can continue to make payments on it as long as you don't start a new device payment agreement on your new device.

If the iPhone 14 was tied to a contract and you switch out the phones, then it is considered breaking the contract and you would have to pay off the remaining balance on the iPhone 14 immediately plus potential early termination penalty fees.
