Duplicate and triplicate contact issue

I also have a duplicate, and TRIPLICATED contacts issue.  This happened when I upgraded to a Maxx and the store employee attempted to transfer from my old phone to my new phone.  Very frustrating.  My contacts were in order when I turned my old phone in and were a complete mess when I got my new phone.  Not a happy customer at the moment.

Oh my, no one wants the same contact on their phone more than once. However, the only way to resolve this matter would be by deleting the extra contact and doing another backup to save your contacts this way. Have you checked your settings to ensure the contacts are showing by first name, last name? What software version does your phone have?
