Can anyone help, my ear feels like it is burning when I use the Iphone4 or press it against my ear. I have an Otter case covering the phone so my ear is not touching the phone itself. I want to know if this is normal or what? Holding the phone away from my hear is ok but having a hard time hearing the caller.
Are you on extensively long calls? That might be the issue. It wouldn't hurt to have your phone checked out if you think it's truly a problem. Also, consider using an earpiece or using the speaker phone option if that is something you are willing to do.
Kaebfly is correct, long calls can cause the phone to heat up. This is also true for long data sessions, or if running multiple applications in the background. Do you notice if this is the case when the phone heats up? Or does it happen when the phone is powered off or in stand-by mode?
