Hi, I am planning to buy an iPhone which is Verizon locked. After 1 or 2 months, if I want to unlock the phone and close my Verizon account, what would be the process & charges?
Why not just buy an unlocked phone from Apple? A Verizon contract is for 36 months and you'd have to pay whatever early termination fees there are for bailing early, plus you'd owe the entire remaining balance on the phone. And it won't unlock unless you've used it on Verizon for at least 60 days.
