Failed trade in credit

I mailed in 2 phones as part of the $1000 trade in credit. I have my UPS verification ticket. Yet, Verizon only credited one phone and is now charging me. The phones were exactly the same model and were in separate boxes but with the same tracking number. I can just go back to ATT and have these kinds of issues. I thought Verizon might be different. Guess I was wrong.
