Forgot My Iphone 4 Passcode Please Help!

Hi, I have a iPhone 4 that I've forget-en my pass-code for. I have since then ungraded my phone from Verizon but there is still a lot of pictures and files on the iPhone. I cannot use the iTunes feature to unlock the phone because I've never synced it before. I have tried everything and the guys at apple can't do anything about it, I've also went to the Verizon store and they told me the same thing. Is there anyway I can unlock my phone without restoring and therefore deleting everything? It would be greatly appreciated if someone can help me with this problem, as these photos are very important to me. Thanks for your time.
