I'm not familiar with the details surrounding Business plans but historically speaking I've always been eligible for an upgrade every 2 years. I've currently iPhone 7 and company says I'm eligible for iPhone 8; however, I'd prefer to wait for facial recognition feature. FWIW - It seems the "Free" upgrades are always the model which was released 1-2 years ago.
That said, can anybody elaborate on how this "Free" upgrade works these days and when I could likely expect for the X series of iPhone to be made available for "Free"?
No
If anybody who manages business accounts happens to know how this is currently being managed and can let me and the other person who doesn't know, I'd appreciate it. FWIW - In the past it seems the free phones were 1-2 generations old so I'm hoping the "X" series will be on deck soon.
bugsysiegals,
I know how important it is to have the technology you need when you commit to your new phone for 2 years. We want to make sure your next phone meets your wireless needs. Please reach out to our Business Support Team at 800-922-0204 to find out more details about your upgrade options. They are available Mon-Fri 8:00AM - 8:00PM, and they will be able to share more options about what phones may be available to you.

Thanks for sharing the contact details.
I've been informed I can check on the business promotions through the Verizon website and then proactively approach our telecommunications team when I see the "X" series is being promoted.
FWIW - I believe the location is https://www.verizonwireless.com/business/
800-922-0204 is the consumer CS number.
Also nothing is free. Phones aren't subsidized anymore, it's either retail, get older phone 'free' with reoccurring credits or wait till a good promo comes around.
Unfortunately the "you owe me something free" mentality is sweeping the country.
Actually, what phones are available to you thru your business's account would depend on the agreement your business has with Verizon. While 2 yr contracts with consumer customers are no longer available, they are still available to Verizon's Enterprise business customers, as I also have a phone thru my employer with this type of arrangement with my most recent phone being acquired 1 yr ago and I have another year to go before being eligible for a new device.
As an example, looking at my business's phone link for new purchases, iPhones available for free with a 2 yr contract would currently include iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone XR. If the iPhone XR is not currently available with your business's account, then your business obviously has different arrangements with Verizon then my employer currently has.
