Group Text Issue

I have iphone8plus using iPhone text messaging. I can send texts to an individual separately but when I include the same individual in a group text of larger than 6 numbers the individual does not receive the text. 

I have seen that Verizon allows up to 20 numbers in a group text address but apparently if I go over 6 not everyone receives the message. 

what am I doing wrong?

Do you know if the numbers that you are texting are Android or iOS devices? What happens exactly when you try to send the group messages? GeorginaG_VZW
