My iPhone 7 Plus has been making some weird random static noises when I am not using it. Has anyone else had any issues?

I know this probably won't help you, but no, I'm not hearing that on mine. I have the 256 black that I bought Monday at the Apple Store. In fact, I'm lucky in that I'm also not having the LTE problem either that some are talking about.
Perhaps try a soft reset........press the power and volume down buttons at the same time. Hold them both. The phone will shut down. Hold them both until it powers back up and then release the buttons.
Good luck.

Mine is an iPhone 7 Plus (256 gb) and I can hear staticky noises from the upper back of the phone. It's annoying when I'm using it close to my ear.
Probably unrelated, I'm also feeling this phone gets a lot warmer than my previous one. I don't know if that's normal under use, but it's noticeably hot for me during phone calls.

RooMcD and CNFC800, with just getting new iPhones we definitely don’t want you to be experiencing issues already. Let’s figure out what’s going on. How long have these static sounds been happening? Do you hear the sounds if the phone is powered off? Is there any damage to the phone?
CNFC800, most devices now give a warming if the temperature gets to unsafe levels. Have you seen any messages like this on your phone? How often does this the phone get warm? What are you doing on the phone when it gets warmer?

I've had it happen 2-3 times on my iPhone 7 128GB. Right after the launch there were several folks talking about this. Hoping it is a simply a bug that is nixed out via an update.

bd94s10,
This is quite alarming to read that your new phone is giving you some static noise. Please allow us to help get to the bottom of this issue. Does it do this happen when you are doing something in particular on the phone? Has this been a problem since day one of using the phone?

The noise happens randomly- not even while I am using it.

I have not had this problem. I would make a Apple genius appointment and see what type of resolution they offer.

RooMcD,
We appreciate the clarification. When did this begin with the phone exactly? Since this started has there been any damage to the phone or even what you may consider a minor drop?

No there hasn't been any type of damage, no minor drops or bumps. It started happening 3 days after I got the phone.
