Having issues after hitting “place order” says to change method of payment.

I am a new to Verizon and is trying to get on a plan with y’all but I put my debit card, the one I’m going to be using to ,are monthly payments with, and it says I owe 0.00 when I check out but when I hit the last button of the purchase it says for me to change my method of payment. Please help
