How do I use the iPhone hotspot

I Am trying to find info on using my 5c hot spot feature with my iPad.  I was told I can do this with no charge from Verizon. Can anyone send me I the correct direction or help me?

No, you CANNOT use the HotSpot feature without paying Verizon for it.  Some of the new plans include the HotSpot feature, but that's baked into the price. So either you pay for HotSpot of pay for a plan that includes it. The More Everything plans give you HotSpot: More Everything Plan - Verizon Wireless

Assuming you have the hotspot feature active on your account.

Settings-Cellular-Set up personal hotspot.

You then give your hotspot a name to broadcast, and set up a password to be able to connect to it.

Once active you would go to your tablet, select the WiFi section, it will scan for the network name and if found (the name you gave the iPhone hotspot) select it. Then it will ask for the password to connect.

After you enter it and select connect you will be using your iphones hotspot feature.
