After backing up my 4s to iTunes, all of my contacts were deleted. I tried to go back in and do a restore backup but it says that I do not have enough space on the phone. How is this possible and how to I get back the contacts that have been eaten by iTunes?
Check your iCloud account at iCloud.com. You contacts are visible there. Logon with your Apple ID and password.
I've tried that and they are not there.
Did you back up to a computer?
or Verizon cloud?
I backed up to a Mac home computer
Are you trying to restore from that backup?
check your backups...
in iTunes, from top bar, select iTunes, select preferences, select devices.
in the box is any old backups for your phone. You will want to restore one of these to your phone.
I have tried to restore from a prior backup but it says there is not enough space on my phone...even though nothing has been added since the back up was created. I've deleted everything I know to delete.
That's weird. This is the same phone? Not a different one with less storage?
Just a thought...are they on the Mac?
The same phone...it was actually only about an hour later that I tried.
