I Phone 4 - MMS Problems

I recently just purchased a second i Phone 4 for my sons fiancee' she cannot send Group Messages or Photos through Text Messages. I've already talked to tech support, they had me return the phone to the local Verizon store here in town to exchange it for a new one. The phone is set up correctly, it has all of the updates. My son has the same exact model however he has no problem sending group messages or pictures through MMS or SMS. Is anyone else having these issues? Also, the settings in the new phone are the same as my sons and there are no restrictions on the phone line the new iphone 4 is currently using. I have checked all of the settings within My Verizon account as well.  The only difference in either of the phones is that my son has not upgraded to 5.1 whereas the new phone has been upgraded. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to make sure mms / sms is turned on. There's a chance of you do an update the settings might change. SMS and mms are different settings in messages.

Hi Pammie42, thank you for your post. I can certainly assist you with the group and picture messaging on this device. As Gina mentioned, you need to verify MMS is turned on. There is also a setting to turn Group Messaging on/off. Please ensure both on in Settings>Messages. Is your son’s fiancé receiving any error messages when trying to send or group or MMS messages? What happens exactly?

Have her try deleting previous SMS threads and then soft reset by pressing & holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons for 10 seconds until the Apple symbol comes up. Then try sending picture message or group message again? If still having issues, has this worked for her before?
