I just got my son a iphone 4. his internet on wifi works fine but not on the verizon network. I got it at best buy and I dont know if they forgot something. Is there something else to do to get internet acccess>

Does the phone work? Can he make and receive calls? What about texting?

yes everything else works and when i was on with tech support for another issue they checked and internet is not blocked. I didn't have him with me to do anything with the phone I still dont but i thought is there was some settings or login to do that i don't know about.

Maybe power down, (if an iPhone 4S) pull the SIM card, wait a few minutes and insert the card and power up.

Also make sure in settings that mobile network is actually on

Did you by any chance port a line from another carrier? Have you tried dialing *228 and selecting option 2 to see if that helps? If nothing suggested works then you might need to contact Verizon for further assistance.

*228 option 1or2 did you check see if under network data roaming is on or cellular data is on.

Hi krunch,

We want to make sure the phone itself has the right setup.  On the iPhone please go to Settings -> General -> Network -> verify Cellular Data is switched "ON".  You also want to make sure that when not connected to WiFi that the setting is turned "OFF" as the phone will look for that connection and may not try to use our network.
