So i bought an sim-unlocked iphone 13 pro max on february 2nd, 2022 at apple aventura mall.. since day 1, i used an argentine service provider. never had a problem until september 2024 when, suddenly, my IMEI was blocked.
after arguing with different organizations, it came to me that there was a verizon account (number ending in 8096) that had the same imei (obviously, someone must have misspelled it somewhere). this particularly account has a debt, and was blocked because of it.
so, i tried communicating with customer service, providing the real invoice from apple, photo of the actual box, etc. to convince them that there must be an error and that i'm the real and only owner of the device associated to my imei, but they just can't cooperate.
i don't know if someone has gone through the same or similar case and can help me out.

Dear Verizon Support,
My name is Matvey.
I purchased an iPhone 14 Pro Max in the United States in 2023 and I've been perfectly using it since, until March 2025
Currently, I am located in France, and my device is unable to connect to any mobile network here since March 14th.
A French mobile operator and apple store informed me that my phone appears to be blacklisted by IMEI.
I contacted my current carrier (Lycamobile France), but they confirmed that they do not blacklist devices, and advised me to reach out to the manufacturer or the original carrier.
My phone has never been stolen and only association with Verizon it has is that it was bought from the store, and it was bought unlocked.
I would like to ask Verizon to check why my device is blacklisted in your system, and provide information on how I can proceed to have it removed if possible.
I have the box, and I even have an unpacking video from March 2023

I could solve this issue. Actually having a very long phone call (2hs). I proved that i was the legit owner and buyer of the phone (as I have the receipt) and the โActivationโ department unblocked it.
