Hello all, last year I purchased a brand new Iphone 3rd gen via a Walmart store in the US. I live in Germany And was told although it was a Verizon phone, it was unlocked and not linked to a contract.. I have been unable to use the phone since as it's been locked.. I have tried apple direct who tell me it's locked to a reseller flex and to see if Verizon will further help, and Walmart will only help me if I go in person into the store where I purchased it (not possible for me).
Verizon customer support are not replying to me, does anyone have any further ideas for solutions? Would be much appreciated.

We're sorry to read that you've been having this issue with your device, we'll be glad to help out clarify. In this case, you would need to refer to the seller of the device if it is currently locked, as we would not be able to unlock it, if it was not purchased directly from us.

Hi Freddy, I can scan you the receipt if you wish that clearly shows it was a Verizon phone although purchased at Walmart?
