Apple covers your one year warranty on your device. So they will fix or replace your device at the store. If you didn't buy AppleCare+ to extend the warranty (and cover accidental damage) then your warranty ends on the day before your 1 year anniversary date of purchase.

I bought it either July or August so I'm good for a few months.

Hi Harriettedm, I have the same iPhone 6s Plus as you. Let me try and give you a couple of suggestions you can try.

The iPhone 6s Plus comes with a feature called Wi-Fi Assist. What that does is if you're receiving a poor Wi-Fi signal, perhaps at the campground, it will automatically go to your Verizon mobile data. In other words it will take whatever signal of the two, that has the stronger connectivity. I believe Wi-Fi Assist is turned "ON" by default with the iPhone 6s Plus.

So go to the Settings and click on Cellular then scroll all the way to the bottom till you see Wi-Fi Assist and turn it off. If it's showing in green that means it's ON, tap on it once and it will turn grey which is OFF.

Now go to your Wi-Fi and see if you're able to connect with a strong enough signal.

Another thing you can do" if you're receiving a good Wi-Fi signal" is turn off Cellular Data in the Cellular settings. This will stop the iPhone from using any Verizon cellular data at all. But if it's turned off and Wi-Fi is turned off at the same time you won't be able to receive things such as email.

Salisbury, I tried both and nothing worked just then. I believe I tried those 2 things before.

You're kind of vague. With Wi-Fi Assist turned off and Cellular data turned off. What happened when you then turned on Wi-Fi? Did it search for a connection or connect at all, did it connect even with a very weak signal?

Sometimes it is weak and hard to get on, but when I do get on it will just spin when trying to access anything. For instance, when I make a connection and pull up Facebook it will only show a few posts. If I try to retrieve any notifications it will only spin and eventually go over to LTE if it is turned on. With your suggestions I was not able to get on wifi at all although my husband got on with his laptop during the same time period I was trying.

It's seems that you're likely just getting a very poor signal. Do you know if the campground that is providing the Wi-Fi requires a password type login to access their Wi-Fi? Perhaps you can ask them?? Or ask your husband if he initially had to do that with the laptop? He may not now have to login each time he uses the Wi-Fi, it may have been a one time login them the password is recalled by the laptop.

Salisbury, it is none of that. They do not require a password and my husband usually relies on me to help him get on. We were at another campground that had better reception a few days ago In northern Florida. That campground did require a password. I still had the same issues and he had no problem getting on his laptop there. The Verizon tech I chatted with back in October had me try everything and finally gave up and told me it was the provider. If you will look on my initial post my provider couldn't find anything either other than to reboot my phone and service at the same time. My husband cut our internet off at home one day after that. After that my wifi connection was as it is now. Again I had to turn the Internet and my phone off for a few minutes and then turn them back on to get it to work. It is as though if they aren't turned on at the same time I am unable to get a good signal.

Where you've been chasing this since October. The only logical thing to do is stop by an Apple Store tomorrow. They'll certainly attempt to connect to the in store Wi-Fi. Do post back with the outcome.
