Id like to buy my son a new phone for Christmas and I know he will want to keep his current phone number. How can I do this without transferring his number until he receives the new phone/gift?
nishaberr That is a great question. When you purchase a new device, the number will not change to the new device until you turn it on and that is when it will activate. So you can purchase a device for him and keep it in the box until it is time! Then you power off the old device and power on the new one and it will activate and transfer the number. ~Peter
