I have the i phone 12 pro max why is it showing LTE not 5 G

sheann775, we want to ensure that you can enjoy the 5G service when available in the area. Here is a link https://www.verizon.com/coverage-map/ to check the 5G coverage in the area. Please go to settings, cellular, cellular data options, Voice & Data, and what is that set to?
