So my son left his IPhone 4S on the roof of the car and drove away. Some teenage kids found it in the road and held it for ransom (literally, I kid you not, we had to pay $100 to get it back). Unfortunately, they were using it as their own phone for two days and had wiped out all of the data in my son's phone (contacts, text messages, pictures, etc.) so when he got the phone back it looked like someone else's. He is extremely upset. The only reason we went through the pain of getting the phone back in the first place was because HE DIDN'T BACK UP ANYTHING ON THE PHONE except contacts. So everything else was gone. Is there any hope that his stuff is still there in the phone in a super secret hidden place that only Verizon might be able to get to? He is sick over losing everything. I know there's a lesson there for him, but......

If he synced it to a pc it could have a back up there you could do the restore and when prompted choose restore to previous save
