I upgraded to 5C this week. Verizon agent assured me that my text message history would transfer to new device as long as I had backup. My phone backups to the Cloud daily. I have ample storage. When I connected to my PC for a restore, my text messages along with other data from downloaded applications, reset to March 2013. Can anyone tell me why that happened; and, is there anyway to retrieve lost data? Of course, Verizon talked me into returning my previous device for credit. So, that phone was wiped clean.
More than 8 months of data has just disappeared. Furthermore, why wouldn't the Cloud store recent data? If for some reason capacity had been reached, one would think that old data would be the first to go.
