I am trying to monitor my data with the My Verizon data widget, but it shows a lesser amount of data used than in the My Verizon app (which does match the amount given when dialing #3282). For example, right now, I see the following:
Widget: 1.31 GB as of 04/04/16 01:28 AM
App: 1.367 GB as of 04/04/16 01:28 AM
Text (dialing #3282): DATA Usage Est as of 04/04 01:28AM: ... 1.367 GB ...
The difference is small, but, I'm guessing could potentially cause me inadvertently to go over on data usage if depending upon the widget for accurate info. If nothing else, just thought I would put out there that folks should think twice before monitoring data usage exclusively with the widget.
My widget has been several days behind recently. For example today it shows data as of 4/1/2016 but my app shows data as of 4/4/2016
The data widget is a great way to keep track of your usage so I understand how important it is that it works properly Dcolwell. Let's see what we need to do to get this issue resolved. When did the data stop updating? Have you tried completely removing the widget and then adding it back?

It will update and then go several days without updating. I have removed the widget several times since I noticed it a month or so.
Hi there, Verizon rep: I think you overlooked my original concern--it is different from that of the commenter! 🙂
