My device crashes while typing messages. How do I stop this?

I just got a 6 plus and can't type in messaging, on FB or in Notes.  I can only use voice to dictate.I  have only installed 6 apps.  I have the latest software update and version 9.0

Been reading that this has been a problem in the past. Suggestions please?

You may need to try a restore to see if that helps. First try a reset (holding the home button and lock button at the same time until the phone reboots).
