My iphone 6 voicemail messages will not play

When someone leaves a voicemail, the icon lights up, but I am unable to play the message. Each time I push the play button, the voicemail stops.  This has been happening for 4 days now.

Voicemails are very important and we certainly want to make sure you are able to listen to them. Let's see how we can get this fixed. Have you tried powering your device off and on? Is there any physical or water damage to the device? Are you able to listen to your Voicemails when you dial *86?
