My phone wont set up voice mail

When i try to set up voicemail it doesnt work. it just says "setting up" and it never does anything. What do i do?

That's definitely alarming to hear! I know how important it is to keep in touch and voicemail is an awesome option. What steps are you taking to try and set up voicemail? Has it worked in the past?

So i click on the phone, go into voicemail, then click setup now, then it asks either default or custom message, i click default then save. and it then says setting up. But thats all it says it never says anything else. And i just got the phone recently, never setup voicemail on it before.
